    Can't say I've seen the site, but I think you're referring to a MODCAT decoder - this is the full barcode/serial that's on the inside of one of the pickup cavities, rather than the headstock serial no.

  • I always wonder who updates those Modcat decoders. Last time I tried they couldn't find my 2011 McCarty but they bring up the correct specs for it now. They don't seem to be able to cope with S2 models though.

Prs Serial Numbers

This Is A Very Simple Formula. PRS serial numbers are very easy to figure out. The only slightly confusing thing is. 1985 guitars start with the same number as a 1995 guitar. 1986 guitars start with the same number as a 1996 guitar 1987 guitars start with the same number as a 1997 guitar etc. The early PRS guitars were absolutely the best guitars I had ever seen.
